Abstract : The paper describes the 'gezotype,' an electric typewriter attachment invented by G. Zagorel'skiy for rapid typing. Tests of the gezotype have shown that a typing speed of more than 400 characters per minute can be achieved with a one week training period. The inventor believes there is a real possibility that further improvements in the gezotype will increase typing speed to more than 800 characters per minute, i.e., to approximately that of speech.
