Abstract : All reported disabling and first aid injuries from April 1970 through March 1973 occurring to employees of the Naval Ammunition Depot, Crane, Indiana, were analyzed. An injury report was included in the sample and computations only if the victims were still employed at Crane on 30 June 1973. A total of 2895 injury reports generated by 1682 individuals were included. Detailed information in five major categories were included. These were: (1) the injury itself - 14 variables; (2) the individual injured - 15 variables; (3) the supervisor of the injured - 11 variables; (4) the physical work environment - 28 items, 8 factors; and the psychological work environment - 30 dimensions. Relationships between these variables and injury rate were explored in detail. (Author)
