Abstract : The authors have established a procedure to replace part of the daily heat exposures required in the conventional routine acclimatization, with stints of climbing exercise, thus allowing to save in time and heated space when large number of persons have to rapidly be acclimatized. The procedure involved thirty minutes of either light negative and/or moderate to heavy positive work on a laddermill at 22C followed by thirty minutes of 3.5 mph walk at 50C/25/C db/wb room temperature for four days.
