Abstract : Intramuscular administration of preparations of homologous and heterogeneous gamma-globulin to rabbits was accompanied by the production of antibodies - anti-gammaglobulins whose quantitative amount depends on particular specificity of the preparation and its dose. During the immunization of rabbits with the gamma-globulin the authors observed the usual order of antibody synthesis: the antibodies of the IgM type are formed first and then the IgG type. The administration of gamma-globulin to rabbits was accompanied by the formation of cellular reactions in the lymphoid tissue: activation of reticular cells, an increase in young cellular forms, and a development of the plasmocytic reaction.
