Abstract : The research involved the development and application of the positron Annihilation technique to various aspects of solid state physics. The experiments performed can be divided into three categories: (1) high precision angular correlation measurements; (2) 3 gamma/2 gamma yield measurements; (3) lifetime experiments. Materials studied included V3Si, Cu and Cu-Al alloys, V2O3 and quartz. (Author)
