Abstract : The technique employs an antenna as a waveform compression device. A coded waveform from the transmitter will be spatially compressed during radiation. The primary consideration of this report is to determine the limitations of time-bandwidth products versus bandwidth both from a theoretical and practical viewpoint. It is shown that present-day antennas have time-bandwidth products exceeding 2000. It is shown that the electromagnetic fields can be increased over conventional spatial antenna concepts. (Author)
