Abstract : The monograph attempts to make a systematic statement of the basic problems in the theory of jam-proof coding on the basis of a broad plan and particular viewpoints; to indicate methods for their solution, and to cite basic results known in Soviet and foreign technical-scientific literature. The main attention is given to a class of systems in which block codes are used for the transmission of a finite number of statistically independent data, and the speed and average risk particularly the probability of incorrect identification of the transmitted data are considered as basic characteristics.
