Abstract : Mathematical methods for modeling processes common in radio systems are developed for use with multi-purpose digital computers. Efficient algorithms are constructed for digital modeling of radio signals and noise as well as a wide range of random processes. The modeling of random vectors and non-stationary and Markov processes are discussed. Models of random process are considered according to distribution law and within the framework of correlation theory. The modeling of signals and noise as they pass through linear and nonlinear systems are well covered. The principal criteria used in evaluating algorithms are accuracy and the efficient use of computer time. Several applications of digital modeling to statistical radio engineering problems are examined.
