Abstract : The article examines thermodynamic and gas dynamic parameters of wave diffusion and speed of heat evolution in the reaction zone of a combustion chamber during heterogeneous detonation of two-phase mixtures. Combustion of liquid drops (heptane and gaseous oxygen) distributed in an atmosphere of a gaseous oxidizer is compared on the basis of two models: vaporation and crushing. Graphs of parameters of flow given for both models in terms of size of drops shows that combustion speed by vaporization compares to that by crushing only for very small drops.
