Abstract : The emphasis in this work is on the use of graphics as medium for software design and development. The design of a computer system, the specification of system requirements, and the programming of computers all involve a mixture of personnel from different technical fields. Communication among such individuals instinctively involves diagrams or pictures of what is being discussed. In recognition of this point, computing systems should communicate with individuals by natural, unforced means. The pictures and verbal descriptions can be implemented as graphics and alphanumerics.
