Abstract : Data are given on the life cycles of vagile and hemisessile micro- and macroanimals of the pile community of the Baltic Canal. Euryhaline animals alter their life rhythm when leaving the sea and going into brackish water. The stronger the limnic influence, the more retarded are development and growth. The environment influences the overall regulation and coordination system of development and alters all functions of these organisms when environmental changes occur. (Author)
