Abstract : The authors obtained data on the kinetics of ammonia synthesis with a wide variation of H2:N2 ratios, temperature, and volumetric velocity in the iron catalyst samples with different accelerators. They conducted an investigation of the effect on the activity of the catalyst samples containing different accelerators, changes in the H2:N2 ratio from 0.5 to 10.0 in the temperature range of 350-500C (Individual experiments 350-550C), with a change in pressure from 20 to 400 atm and in volumetric velocity from 15,000 to 120,000/h. The investigation was conducted on a flowtype set-up with a one-time load of four catalyst samples, which made it possible to obtain reliable comparable data under identical conditions of temperature, pressure, volumetric velocity, and composition of the gaseous mixture.
