Abstract : The report deals with human capital theories that focus upon individuals' careers and explicitly recognize interrelationships among the various phases of workers' life cycles. Recognition of investment incentives in skill assimilation is discussed as a basis for understanding labor supply over a worker's career. Because wages and schooling are correlated, attention is directed toward adequate study of the questions of root causes for earning power as associated with schooling.
