Abstract : The transformation characteristics of quaternary uranium-base alloys containing small, equal amounts (K) of molybdenum, niobium, and zirconium with 0.5 weight percent titanium were examined by dilatometric, hardness, metallographic and x-ray diffraction techniques. Principal emphasis was placed on isothermal transformation of an alloy with K = 1.5%. Quench-ageing treatments of this alloy as well as isothermal transformation of an alloy with K = 0.75% were studied less extensively. (Modified author abstract)
