Abstract : A study sponsored by the American Psychiatric Association and the National Association for Mental Health, in which an average of five professionals each visited seven college campuses during the year 1971-1972 is reviewed. A rich catalogue of mental health services is described on the seven campuses. Most impressive about these services is their diversity. Each program studied generally had a formal mental health service, a less formal counseling service, student-operated services, and special programs devoted to topics such as sex education. Overall, the contemporary student on these seven campuses appears to be able to turn to a wide array of helping services.
