Abstract : The report provides some preliminary information pertaining to experimental studies that are being conducted to provide accurate estimates of the major environmental factors required for over-the-horizon system design. The Expanded Little Ida Program is a continuation, and an expansion of the efforts carried out under AF30(602)-3360, Dispersive Characteristics of the Ionosphere. The four major experiments that are being conducted on this expanded program are Mode Reliability, Mode Loss, Azimuth Angle of Arrival, and Noise/Interference. A description of the Experimental Program, and some preliminary findings are presented in this report. (Author)
