Abstract : Delayed hypersensitivity was elicited in guinea pigs by repeated skin testing with potent coccidioidin. Characteristics of delayed hypersensitivity were evident upon gross and microscopic observations. Skin testing with basal medium produced reactions that were grossly negative at 24 and 48 hours and that differed microscopically by the intensity of the reaction and the more rapid resolution. No immediate anaphylactic reaction was produced by intracardiac injection of potent coccidioidin. (Author)
