Abstract : This report is the result of a study designed to collect and analyze target material temperature and meteorological data with a view toward determining existing correlations. An extensive statistical analysis was performed resulting in regression equations connecting the variables of interest. Target temperature differences were also considered as target image contrast predictors. Conditions for temperature cross-over and maximum contrast between targets were also investigated.
