Abstract : Depending on the existing logistics, various means may be utilized to prepare VTOL landing sites in remote areas. Various techniques to deliver materials, especially those employing a helicopter, were analyzed. The method of dropping catalyzed resin material in an impregnated fabric bag proved feasible, and a high-flow resin mixing and transfer system was designed, fabricated, and evaluated. Methods of applying this system to related tasks, such as the repair of bomb-damaged runways, were studied. (Author)
