Abstract : The modification of a conventional Weissengerg camera to allow the collection by both the equi-inclination and oscillation geometries from a crystal held at low temperature of sufficient three dimensional data for the solution of crystal structures is described. A constant cooling device to supply a cold stream of gaseous nitrogen has been assembled from commercially available components. Various techniques and procedures for the manipulation and X-ray characterization of sensitive materials are described, often in step-by-step form to serve as a checklist. (Author)
