Abstract : This paper on artifical sources of nuclear energy in outer space deals with the problem of utilizing atomic energy for test purposes in outer space. Artificial sources of nuclear energy could be used for studying outer space inasmuch as they can identify matter in space and thus make it possible to study the properties and characteristics of such matter. The artificial sources of nuclear energy would also make it possible to study in more detail such phenomena as swarms of meteorites. This paper also suggests the establishment of special space laboratories in which man could carry out studies in the field of experimental astrophysics by using models of stars or models of planetary systems and stellar systems. Laboratories of this kind would make it possible to study a wide range of problems, beginning with the practical utilization of nuclear energy for the production of electric energy on the earth's surface and ending with the problem of the existence of what is known as antimatter and its properties.
