Abstract : A tentative theory ignoring transit time effects has been developed around space charge limited semiconductors as microwave detectors. Further work is required before agreement between the tentative theory and experimental devices is positively confirmed. Diffusion does not appear as useful as alloying in the preparation of space charge devices. (Author)
