Abstract : Spin theories have been proposed for the Alouette class of satellites. The validity of the theories for actual flight spacecraft hinges on the mathematical model chosen to describe the dynamic behavior of the main structural elements, the BeCu (or steel) antenna. This report presents the results of experiments conducted the dynamic behavior of BeCu and Steel antenna systems under conditions representative of those encountered in the Space Environment.
