Abstract : The tensile and some compressive, shear, bearing, fatigue and fracture-toughness properties of a total of 130 samples of 2014, 2024, 6061, 7075 and 7178 aluminum alloy extrusions in the TX51X and heat-treated-by-user tempers have been determined. The extrusions ranged in thickness from 0.050 to 6.500 in. Ratios among the tensile, compressive, shear and bearing properties have also been computed. Stress-corrosion tests of 18 samples of extrusions have been completed.
