Abstract : This report describes the tensile measurement device developed and used for whisker testing in the Advanced Metallurgical Studies Branch. The most important components are discussed. The load calibration, the error curves and the mounting with subsequent test procedures are presented. Some of the results obtained with this device are shown and interpreted.
