Abstract : The aim of this work is to fabricate a detector with both high sensitivity and high burnout. Diodes of the multigrid Schottky-junction type are used. The inherent problem is the establishment of a contact, yielding exactly the correct capacitance. This report describes how the production facilities for diodes define the maximum sensitivity and which steps must be undertaken to obtain these optimum values.
