Abstract : This report concludes a series of investigations on the climatology of the cooling power of the environment based on frigorimeter measurements. It contains a new series of observations taken at various elevations in the Black Forest of Germany and in Northern Greenland. The study considers mean values, annual and diurnal variations as well as simultaneous measurements of radiation, cloud amount wind and air temperatures to demonstrate the influence of the various meteorological components on the complex value of cooling power. The study confirms that wind velocity is the predominant influence. Air temperature is the least important factor and influence of the radiation fluxes lie in between. (Author)
