Abstract : The fuze was found to have satisfactory resistance to damage during ten-foot drop tests and the standard rough handling tests. The ability of the bare fuze to withstand the salt spray and temperature and humidity tests was found to be marginal, but the packaged fuze passed the temperature and humidity test. There was some degradation of performance at -65 F. However, the likelihood of the fuze being used at -65 F in a Practice Mod is very low. Aircraft drop tests demonstrated adequate reliability. Aircraft attachment problems and methods are discussed. (Author)
