Abstract : A brief summary is given of the data obtained on metal-ammonia solutions during the time this research was supported by the Office of Naval Research. The parameters measured included: electrical and thermal conductivity, Hall coefficient, magnetoresistance, optical constants, sound speed, and heat capacity. The metals dissolved were: Li, Na, K, Cs, Ca, Ba, Sr, and Yb. Evidence for the metallic nature of concentrated solutions have been found, as well as for the existence of a metal-nonmetal transition.
