Abstract : Two techniques are discussed for simulating blast wave-supersonic vehicle interactions. The first technique uses a wind tunnel and a shocktube. Model surface pressures are measured with special transducers. The second technique uses a ballistics range and a shocktube. Pressures are deduced from photographs of the model-blast wave interaction. (Author)
