Abstract : The objective of this contract is to develop the technology required for a high performance fuel cell power system for future Air Force space vehicles. The testing of two experimental 28-volt fuel cell stacks was initiated. One stack has accumulated 740 hours of operation, and the other has been operated for 145 hours and has passed shock, vibration and acceleration tests. Progress was also made on development of a lightweight, compact fuel cell stack design, and in the area of system engineering and design.
