Abstract : Test records display odd phenomena from time to time. The Data Analyst questions these occurrences and attempts to find their cause. If a satisfactory answer is obtained, he accepts these 'glitches,' 'drop-outs,' etc.; but to a person unfamiliar with the nature of test recordings, they could appear to be a failure of an airborne system. This document presents some of these phenomena in the hope that the personnel uninitiated to test recording characteristics may obtain an introduction to these actions. (Author)
