Abstract : This paper presents the results on an analysis of the impact of random events on the planning and programming of military occupation specialty (MOS) strengths. A methodology and model are described that can be used by manpower planners for determining the level of school training required to sustain MOS strengths at a specified authorization. This analytic technique provides MOS production controllers with a method of establishing management control levels for exception reporting of understrength and overstrength MOS's. (Author)
