Abstract : Illnesses of possible immunological pathogenesis include both those thought to be due to hypersensitivity and those assumed to be of autoimmune origin. The paper, therefore, discusses only four diseases: Polyarteritis nodosa, glomerulonephritis, rheumatismus acutus, and rheumatoid arteritis. These have certain features in common with respect to morphology, etiology, and pathogenesis. (Author)
