Abstract : This article relates the results of experimental research of the double-pulse and single-pulse systems for governing the speed of rotation of the crankshaft and the supercharging pressure in the diesel engine, D6N; a comparison of the characteristics of these governing systems is presented. The dynamic and static characteristics of both systems as obtained through static and dynamic testing are displayed in graphic form. The author concludes that the dynamic characteristics of the double-pulse system are comparatively better. (Author)
