Abstract : The reliability mathematical model of the distance measuring equipment (DME) modification kit consisting of an interrogator adapter plus digital indicator and a transponder adapter. The DME modification kit is used with airborne radio sets AN/ARC-54 and AN/ARC-44 and the ground radio sets AN/PRC-25 and AN/PRC-77 as a navigational aid. The equipment accurately and reliably indicates the slant range between the aircraft and ground equipment. (Author)
