Abstract : A small, uncured solid propellant test motor overpressured destructively during a qualification firing. The test objectives were to evaluate the propellant ballistic properties and to determine the feasibility of a free-standing paper phenolic insulation tube. Possible failure modes and causes are proposed and discussed. (Author)
