Abstract : An experiment using white mice was conducted to determine the influence of zymozane on the natural, passive and active resistance to toxins of the causative agents of gas gangrene and tetanus. It was found that the effect of zymazane on natural immunity to the toxins of Cl. perfringens, Cl. oedematiens, and Cl. septicum was increased two-fold, while there was no effect on the sensitivity to the tetanus toxin. Further experiments were conducted and the findings are stated in the following pages. (Author)
