Abstract : Electrical and optical properties of D-ADP, D-RbDA, D-CsDA, RbDP, CsDP and D-ADA were measured and tabulated and evaluations made regarding their adaptability to display applications. Attempts were made to find growing procedures which would yield electrically and optically uniform cyrstals. It was shown that the Deuterated Arsenates can be grown to larger sizes (approximating 2 x 2 inches) and achieve much better uniformity in the deuteration level than the Deuterated Phosphates. From a display point of view, however, the Deuterated Phosphates are more desirable since they exhibit a stronger electro-optic effect. (Author)
