Abstract : Five C2H2-O2 flames, for which concentration and temperature profiles have been measured previously, have been analyzed by integrating numerically the one-dimensional flame equations. These include rich and lean C2H2 flames and rich C2H2 flames with added CO or H2. Species continuity equations and multicomponent diffusion equations for these flames have been integrated over the temperature range 1000 to 1700K. Experimental temperatures and OH profiles have been used in the analysis in order to expedite the unravelling of the kinetics. The steady-state hypothesis has been invoked for C2H, CH2, HCO and O. Analytic species profiles compare reasonably well with experimental profiles for the species C2H2, O2, H2, H2O, CO, and CO2 in four of the five flames. Kinetic coefficients in units of gmole/cu cm, sec and cal/gmole, are reported for sixteen reactions in the C2H2/H2/CO/O2 system. (Author)
