Abstract : Electrohydraulics is the phenomena resulting from the discharge of an electrical arc beneath the surface of a liquid. It has been used to rid water of biological contaminants and was tested in this report on three chemical compounds that could be encountered as contaminants in water supplies. The rate of destruction of these chemicals varied with the voltage and capacitance employed and the amount of destruction increased with an increasing number of discharges. (Author)
