Abstract : The morphology and degree of precipitate dispersion in a U-A1 alloy were studied through an electron microscope after two types of heat treatment; at 730C for 15 min and at 575C for 100 hr. Globular particles were found to vary from 300 to 600 Angstrom units in diameter within grains, while those on grain boundaries varied from 1000 to 2000 Angstrom units. (Author)
