Abstract : The primary goal in developing nondestructive test methods and techniques for evaluating reinforced plastics is the establishment of a thorough knowledge of the important material-energy interactions which occur in the composite system of interest. This has been applied to the quantitative nondestructive evaluation of the epoxy system and glass fabric reinforced laminates containing six resin systems, epoxy, phenolic, polyester, polybenzimidazole, silicone, and polyimide.
