Abstract : A launch attempt was conducted on Vehicle F1, composed of Atlas 104D and Centaur C1. The test was aborted after approximately 8.5 seconds of booster engine operation due to a function safe incomplete timer cutoff. The release ladder was not completed due to an improper umbilical eject sequence on the Centaur vehicle. The improper sequencing was due to a reverse installation of two electrical plugs in the umbilical boom system. With the exception of the umbilical boom system, operation of all other vehicle and facility systems was normal. (Author)
