Abstract : An analysis was made to determine validity of slender body theory in computing pressure distribution over slender conical bodies. Information is presented to correct for flow separation. Two methods were used to compute pressure distribution over conical bodies: source distribution with a cross-flow correction on a right circular cone; and complex potential method on elliptical cone.
