Abstract : The purpose of the test was to determine the effects of vacuum de-oiling on the physical properties of DC-325 silicone elastomeric ablative material. Thermal conductivity, Shore A Hardness, size, weight, tensile strength, and elongation were the physical properties measured before and after the vacuum exposure. All physical properties showed appreciable change except thermal conductivity; however, the weight and dimensional changes were slight. (Author)
