Abstract : This report examines the vulnerability of transportation systems in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A target model comprised of such resources as airports, railroads, roads, passenger and cargo vehicles, warehouses, and transportation labor is developed. Given the effects of a hypothetical nuclear weapon attack, damage to the target model is estimated. Then, the capability of residual systems to perform transportation services is examined. Case studies identify in more detail some of the important factors affecting resumption of transportation operations.
