Abstract : This document presents a summary on the research of the feasibility of Rankine-cycle power systems incorporating nonequilibrium MHD generators. Briefly discussed are the results of recent research progress in completing the repairs of a noble gas heater and a design of two generator channels for the elimination of the wall shorting layers. Also presented is a detailed technical contribution relating to the control of the effect of core or bulk nonuniformities on the generator performance.
