Abstract : The feasibility of utilizing capacitive measurements for the nondestructive testing of epoxy fiber glass composites is discussed. A simple theory is derived from parallel plate capacitor theory, and the results are proven by experiment. It is shown that capacitive measurements can be used to accurately determine the thickness and resin-glass ratio with an essentially one-sided test.
