Abstract : Part 1 of the report extends the fracture studies of Nickel 270 to 2000F and includes: (a) a summary of test results for Nickel 270 and comparison with Inconel 600 (b) fracture initiation criterion for hot working (c) additional evidence for dynamic recrystallization during hot working (d) correlation of structure and properties for combined stress test results (e) optimization and control of ductility. Part 2 of the report is concerned with a refinement of the analysis for the calculation of the state of stress in a combined torsion-axial load test. Preliminary experiments aimed at extending this analysis to hot working conditions are also presented. (Author)
